Polish inequality statistics reconsidered: are the poor really that poor?

Abstract In the present study income inequality in Poland is evaluated using corrected data to provide more reliable estimates. According most empirical studies based on household surveys and considering European standards, recent moderate decreased significantly after reaching its peaks during first decade of 21st century. These findings were challenged by Brzeziński et al. (2022), who placed Polish among highest Europe. Such a conclusion was possible when combining survey with information personal tax. above-mentioned are further explored 2014 2015 employing additional corrections incomes. Incomes poorest people replaced their predictions made large set well-being correlates, hierarchical correlation reconstruction. Applying this method together Brzeziński’s results reduces revised Gini indices, still keeping them above values obtained use only.
